Non Crop Pesticide Use - studies & reportsAIS is the sole supplier of multi-country data on pesticide use in all applications outside crop agriculture and commercial horticulture. When used in conjunction with crop pesticide use data, it is possible to track all uses of a pesticide in one or more countries. A 12 country study was completed in 1992 covering the USA, Canada and the 10 major countries of Europe.
The study was updated in 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2003 and other important countries added: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China (PRC), Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, Uruguay and USA.
2006 Study Nearly Complete Field work for the 6th in the series of global pesticide use studies covering 23 countries is almost finished.: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China (PRC), Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, U.K. and USA. For the first time As well as 18,000 lines of quantitaitve data covering pesticide use in detail in 45 market segments, there will be a qualitiative report on important developments in each country and market segment. A further innovation: purchasers will receive individual consulting as part of the deliverables. For data management, the AGROWIN system will be used, in collaboration with Agrobase-Logigram in France. Prices start at USS$1,000. Information from earlier studies is immediately available. For further details, contact Rod Parker (rodparker@aisglobal.net). All pesticides are included. Pesticide use is sub-divided into 43 so-called non-crop areas which range from home & garden, to turf, public health, roads, industrial applications, and the timber industry. Within each non-crop area, pesticide use is segmented by target weed, insect or disease. The USA and Canada are further sub-divided into regions reflecting geographical market boundaries. All quantitative data is supplied on diskette, and may be analysed by the international industry standard software AGROWIN NT (or by the DR/AIS Focus-based system). The results may be purchased by country and by sector (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides), as well as by cell of information. |
